In April 2010, the world-famous wine master Jancis Robinson (Financial Times) published in the "fresh wine aroma of Chinese wine" article, mentioned "another new star in the Chinese wine industry." The "nova" referred to by Jess is the Silver Heights winery in Ningxia.
Silver Heights Winery was created by Gao Lin and is currently operated by his daughter Gao Yuan. Gao Yuan went to France in 1999 to study winemaking and obtained the French National Winemaker Certificate. Gao Yuan, influenced by France, adheres to the traditional French brewing techniques. Therefore, the winery of the winery is inclined to the old world style. After returning to China, Gao Yuan worked as a trainer in Dorothy. In 2011, Shangri-La, Kempinski, Marriott and other five-star hotels asked Dorothy to recommend ten excellent wines through tenders. Gaoyuan seized this rare opportunity and then recommended two of his own wines. As a result, these two wines stood out, helping Silver Heights break into the high-end market.
On June 12, 2016, Premier Li Keqiang replaced the Quetzal red wine of the Silver Heights winery and the family-collected Chardonnay white wine at the banquet hosted by German Chancellor Merkel at the Summer Palace. Silver Heights Winery has become a civilian family winery where very few products can enter the state banquet.
