Guide cross-border e-commerce comprehensive pilot areas to actively cultivate chain master enterprises and lead upstream and downstream smes in digital transformation. Special training on new forms of foreign trade will be held to strengthen capacity building.

He Yadong, spokesman of the Ministry of Commerce, said: "Strengthen exchanges and learning, hold on-site meetings in the cross-border e-commerce comprehensive pilot area, and strengthen the exchange of typical cases and experience; At the same time, enhance the level of self-discipline of the industry, guide orderly competition, actively participate in international multilateral and bilateral cooperation, and add cross-border e-commerce issues under the working mechanisms such as free trade agreement negotiations, joint committees and mixed committees."

According to reports, in the first quarter of 2024, China's cross-border e-commerce imports and exports were 577.6 billion yuan, an increase of 9.6%, of which 448 billion yuan was exported, an increase of 14%. According to preliminary statistics, there are more than 120,000 cross-border e-commerce entities in the country, more than 1,000 cross-border e-commerce industrial parks, and more than 2,500 overseas warehouses with an area of more than 30 million square meters.
