Established in June 2021 with a registered capital of RMB 815 million, Wuheng Chemical Co., Ltd. is an enterprise engaged in the production and sales of 1,4-butanediol (BDO) and biodegradable materials PBAT/PBS, as well as technology development and resource recycling services based on its industrial advantages. The company's main product BDO is an important raw material for biodegradable materials and spandex, and is an important part of the new chemical material field. The total investment of the project is 124.88 million RMB, covering an area of 280 mu. The main construction content is 116,000 tons/year BDO plant, methanol cracking hydrogen plant, acetylene plant, formaldehyde plant, sulfuric acid regeneration plant, auxiliary devices and supporting public works, etc. The actual capacity is 116,000 tons/year of BDO, 0.35 million tons/year of n-butanol and 160,000 tons/year of slaked lime.
The first phase of the project was officially put into production in July 2022. The second phase of the project started construction in February 2022, entered the peak construction period in August 2022, and started trial production at the end of February 2023. After completion, the project can provide raw material support for the development of coal-based biodegradable materials in the Ningdong base, and provide an important collaborative development foundation for the extension of the new material industry chain of the Ningdong base.
The company's main product BDO is an important raw material for biodegradable materials and spandex, and is an important component of the field of new chemical materials. It can be used to produce biodegradable materials such as polybutylene adipate/terephthalate (PBAT) and polybutylene succinate (PBS); it can also be used to produce polytetramethylene ether glycol (PTMEG) and further react to produce spandex. In the chemical and pharmaceutical fields, it can also derive a series of products: γ-butyrolactone (GBL), N-methylpyrrolidone (NMP), vitamin B6, polybutylene succinate (PBT), etc. It can also be used in lithium batteries, solvent oil recovery, pesticides, fungicides, pigments, cleaning agents, insulating materials, plasticizers, cross-linking agents, etc.
