The calcined petroleum coke recarburizer (Carburant)is produced by placing the raw petroleum coke in a forging smelting furnace at a temperature about 1500℃ .

The fixed carbon is generally about 98.5%,and the sulfur content is generally about 0.5%.The absorption rate is generally between 80%and 90%.

1. Product properties: Graphitized petroleum coke is made from calcined petroleum coke. The calcined petroleum coke is placed in a graphitization furnace, graphitized at high temperature, undergoes physical and chemical reactions, and removes sulfur, ash and other impurities. It is sometimes called artificial graphite. When used as a recarburizer, it is often called an ultra-low sulfur/low nitrogen recarburizer. Graphitized petroleum coke is a black or dark gray hard solid petroleum product with a metallic luster and is porous. It is a carbonaceous substance composed of tiny graphite crystals in granular, columnar or needle shapes. Petroleum coke is composed of hydrocarbons, containing more than 99% carbon, and also contains nitrogen, chlorine, sulfur and heavy metal compounds.

It is used as a carburizer in metallurgy, casting, and precision casting; it is used to make high-temperature crucibles in smelting, lubricants in the machinery industry, electrodes and pencil leads; it is widely used in refractory materials and coatings in the metallurgical industry, stabilizers for pyrotechnic materials in the military industry, pencil leads in the light industry, carbon brushes in the electrical industry, electrodes in the battery industry, catalysts in the fertilizer industry, etc. Graphitized petroleum coke can be used in graphite, smelting, and chemical industries depending on its quality. Medium-sulfur, ordinary cooked coke is used in large quantities for aluminum smelting. Most of the petroleum coke produced in China is low-sulfur coke, which is mainly used for aluminum smelting and graphite manufacturing. Graphite electrodes are mainly made of petroleum coke and needle coke as raw materials, and coal tar as a binder. They are made through calcination, batching, kneading, pressing, roasting, graphitization, and machining. They are conductors that release electrical energy in the form of an arc in an electric arc furnace to heat and melt the charge.
