Impregnated activated carbon is made from coal-based activated carbon with highly developed pores with ap- propriate technical process 。A proper amount of agent is added to enhance its absorption capability for some special matters,such as absorption of hydrogen sulfied gas ,mercury gas,and sterilization of drinking water。

Impregnated activated carbon belongs to a type of activated carbon, which has the properties of activated carbon: large specific surface area, strong adsorption capacity, etc. Therefore, it is more targeted compared to general activated carbon. Impregnated activated carbon is made by processing activated carbon as raw material, soaking it in alkaline solutions such as potassium hydroxide and sodium hydroxide, and then refining it by cremation and drying at 130 ℃~180 ℃. The application of impregnated activated carbon is more targeted, and it is generally used to remove organic gases and vapors in the air, such as hydrogen sulfide and sulfur dioxide.
